Antique Wood Dealers
Giving NEW wood an ANTIQUE look!
So many people are looking for work these days that the market is flooded. Sometimes you have to move in another direction to make ends meet. Many people have resorted eBay and other websites to try to make some extra money to keep food on the table. eBay has left many of those people in the dust, because the courts of the great companies with a lot of money selling TVs, Xbox consoles, computers and the like. Compound that with the fact that the "eBay Craze" has led to too many people in the market with Grandma's old dishes and overall prices have collapsed. But there is a way!
Long Before eBay, there were gatherers. These were, and still, people who spent their weekends trawling the alleys and streets looking for money or pull scarf whenever possible and in turn profits. You can do too! There are a lot of money to be made with an investment that is not the time. Let me say from the outset that in this business, like many others, knowledge is king. The more you know, the more money you can make. But you do not need a lot of knowledge to get started. And there are a lot of help available. Collectors to tour yard sales, auctions, property sales, the landfill, anywhere they can find something that can be sold. If you have several elements in hand, you can begin to turn them into cash.
Wipe the product to be as presentable as possible. Things more dust with a damp cloth, but be in mind that not everything should be cleaned. Silver must be polished, silver plate, too, though with care. Glass and ceramics should be cleaned. Wood products in general, you should clean with a damp cloth. Let the buyer Polish like her. Swords, guns and other metal objects should be left to the discretion of the buyer.
Research to discover exactly what they are, their retail value, how much you paid (not more than 50% of what you plan to sell it for) Yard Sale items are cheaper, usually but the competition can be fierce, and you can get your feet stepped on. Country auctions are more expensive, though few sleepers can slip through. Sales of goods may be a good source, but they generally have a relatively high cost
Offer your items for sale: Consider eBay, although the prices that the items most common has declined recently. eBay has begun to address more large distributors of new products, but you can still sell their goods there if you are careful. Consider making your own website. Selling to dealers at wholesale prices. You will make less per item, but with the fastest lap so that your money can really work for you. Rental space in an antique mall. Make sure the space is well lit and (hopefully) in the middle of traffic and not in a solitary corner. General expenses increased at a mall space, but you can better sell their products there easily with minimal complications. Make sure your articles are a little better than the competition.
Remember to keep track of the miles they drive, the cost of their goods, additional costs of doing business, get some books to help you learn about antiques in your area. Prices are guides a great help to give the final high prices of perfect specimens.
