Oak or pine the beauty of the furniture is ever lasting
Oak furniture provides the durability and the stylish look which is expected from any kind of furniture. It has always been the choice of many because of the beauty and durability of the wood. The two shades of oak both dark and light are used to create astonishing pieces of furniture. Beds, wardrobes or dressers of oak look very elegant. The two main kinds of oak are the red and the white. The white oak lasts longer than the red oak. On the other hand pine furniture is light colored and blends into the surroundings and does not stand out. The use of pine wood for furniture has been in practice since a very long time. It has a very refreshing look. The lightless of its color gives it a classic look with any kind of décor. They are also light in weight. They are available at affordable prices and are one of the reasons for the popularity. Pinewood grows much faster than the other hardwood and it can be cut easily which reduces the work of the carpenter. The number of hours spent on making the pieces is less so they are priced at lower rates. The other great feature of the pine furniture is the open grain. Knotty pine is preferred for its aesthetic look. The growth of the pine wood trees takes one third the time taken for any other hard wood trees.
